The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA Ghana) will host a special edition of its Constitutional Review series on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, bringing together distinguished legal and public policy voices to discuss “The Prempeh Committee’s Report and Government’s Position on Constitutional Review.”
The dialogue will provide a platform for an informed examination of the constitutional review process, with particular attention to the recommendations contained in the Prempeh Committee’s Report and the Government’s position on the issues raised. The event forms part of the IEA’s continuing commitment to promoting informed public dialogue on constitutional democracy, governance, the rule of law, and institutional development in Ghana.
The discussion will feature Prof. Vladimir Antwi-Danso, former Dean of Academic Affairs at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC); Justice Sophia Akuffo, former Chief Justice of Ghana and Distinguished Fellow of the IEA; and Mr. Victor Anku-Tsede, Legal Practitioner.
Drawing on their respective backgrounds in governance, law, public policy and national affairs, the speakers will offer perspectives on the constitutional review agenda and the implications of the issues under consideration for Ghana’s democratic and governance framework.
The Views and Reflections platform is designed to create space for thoughtful engagement on important national issues, bringing together experts, practitioners and stakeholders to contribute to evidence-based public discourse.
