This publication provides a transcript of the presentation and responses of the candidates at the first Presidential Debate on 30th October 2012 and the second on 20th November 2012. The issues and questions that were debated include corruption, decentralization, management of Ghana’s oil and gas sector, economic development, women’s representation in governance and foreign policy. The publication recognizes that the commitments made by the candidates at the Debates constitute a contract they made with the Ghanaian people in exchange for their support. As Ghana prepares for elections in 2016, it is hoped that the terms of this contract are not readily forgotten, and that the public continues to understand the policy perspectives of the respective candidates. | Election 2012 Aspirants; IEA Ghana | 20 Nov 2012 | Download | |
