Viewing of a documentary on Ghana’s history: “From Gold Coast to Ghana: A Glorious History of Self Determination”

The IEA in collaboration with the ‘Ghana @ 60’ secretariat launched the public viewing of the official documentary to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Ghana.

The documentary entitled ‘From Gold Coast to Ghana: A Glorious History of Self Determination’ is an effort to tell the history of Ghana through the occurrence of various constitutions that governed the relationship between the Gold Coast and its imperial authority as well as those that occurred after independence, up until the existing constitution of 1992.  Sixty years after independence, this documentary seeks to highlight aspects of the efforts of the men and women who laid the foundation towards the attainment of Ghana’s freedom.

The event was well attended by a number of distinguished personalities including, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Prof. Michael Ocquaye, and Mr. Samuel A Jinapor, Deputy Chief of Staff.
